Shifeng Ke

Mr. Ke serves as CEO, CIO for the firm. Between 1997 and 2011, he was the senior portfolio manager for Martin Currie Investment Management Limited providing research and investment management services to its clients investing in the Greater China (including Taiwan) markets. Shifeng and his team ran a range of China strategies, including the China Fund Inc. (CHN US), Martin Currie China Hedge Fund, Taiwan Opportunities Fund and Martin Currie China A Share Fund with total assets under management reaching US$5.5 billion at the end of 2011. In November 2011, Mr. Ke  co-founded the Open Door Group providing investment management services to foreign institutional and high-net worth clients investing in Greater China.  Mr. Ke  holds a law degree from Renmin University of China and an MBA degree from The University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

Wu Bin (Tony Wu),

Mr. Wu  started his investment career in 1993 as an analyst with Peregrine Brokerage. From 1996 to 1999 he worked as an analyst for Heartland Capital Investment Consulting (Shanghai) Ltd ('HCIC')., Martin Currie’s joint venture with China Securities then. During this time, Tony built an extensive knowledge of China’s industries and equity markets, and gained valuable insights into how Chinese companies operate. In 2000, he left to co-found Narada Investment Consulting, a private equity firm mainly engaged in corporate financing.  Mr. Wu  returned to HCIC (Martin Currie's reach subsidiary in Shanghai) in September 2004 as a senior analyst and became the firm’s head of research in 2008. Together, Mr. Wu and Mr. Ke manager  holds a BA in Economics from the Shanghai International Business Institute and an MBA from the Shanghai Europe International Business School.

John Holland

Non-Executive Chairman

 

 

Mr. Holland has more than 30 years’ experience in Asian and Global Securities markets. From 1985 to 2003, he built up the market-leading Warburg/SBC/UBS Asian Equity business, initially based in London and then leading it out of Hong Kong from 2000-2003.  He also led UBS’ successful drive to become the first QFII to invest in China, supporting the launch of the China A-Share Fund in 2003.  Mr. Holland returned to London with UBS in 2003 to work on Global Equities as Managing Director and Board Member of UBS Investment Bank. He was a member of the European Commission’s Markets Experts’ Group (“ESME”) from 2006-2009. Throughout his career,  Mr. Holland has worked closely with market regulators of several emerging and developed countries. Since 2009, he has acted as Non-Executive Chairman of a number of Investment Management, Brokerage and Payments businesses, including Open Door since its founding in 2011.
